Meet Jie Kim

My name is Jie Kim, and I have the privilege of being the children’s director at Cross-Life Community Church.

Cross-Life Kids’ mission statement is to Love Jesus, Share Jesus, Have Fun! My goal in fulfilling this mission is to educate the children about the love of God through the Bible, create opportunities for our children to serve, and foster a joyful and exciting environment. I carefully select the Sunday School curriculum; lead the children’s service on Sundays; plan special events; recruit and train volunteers; communicate the Children Ministry’s needs with the Servant Leadership Team, and work with parents for collaboration and support

I am very excited to serve in this ministry as God has placed in my heart a passion for educating young children. In the past, God has led me to related roles such as an elementary teacher, Tae Kwon Do instructor, Sunday school teacher, and interim children’s director.

My husband Hyon and I have been married for almost ten years now, and are blessed with three young children (Eli, Emmett, and Ella). When I am not running around after three little ones at home, I enjoy cooking and hosting dinners for friends and family, decorating my home, and exercising.
